• About: The Rangitīkei electorate is largely rural in character. It encircles but does not include the city of Palmerston North. The electorate is bisected by State Highway 1 and includes the communities of Taumarunui and National Park in the north Raetihi Ohakune Waiouru and Taihape in the centre and Marton Bulls Feilding Ashhurst and Shannon in the south.
